FINC was appointed to prepare a reserved matters application for 49 homes on a sensitive, constrained site in Thaxted, close to the historic village centre. With proximity to listed buildings and key views of The Church of Saint John the Baptist with Our Lady and Saint Laurence, the design required a careful, context-led approach.

Our layout and massing strategy reflected the traditional village form while preserving important sightlines and enhancing public access through existing pathways. The application is currently under consideration by Uttlesford District Council.
