FINC HQ gets approval!

FINC are delighted to announce that we have obtained planning and listed building consent for the conversion of a Grade 2 listed building in Chelmsford City Centre for our new offices.

The 4-storey building is located on New London Rd, with easy access to the high street, amenities and train station, providing a great location for our staff and clients alike.

The building, a mid-terraced 1900’s Georgian townhouse, had previously been converted into commercial space.

Our programme of works includes new electrics, plumbing, heating, lighting and opening up of rooms to provide modern office accommodation. The existing staircases and sash windows will be restored and the building cleaned and repaired externally.

A new powder coated aluminium and glass shop front will provide access to a formal reception, with meeting room beyond. The meeting reception and meeting room will be split by a large aquarium, providing a wow factor to the office.

We spent a lot of effort with conservation officers to ensure the proposals resulted in accommodation suitable for our needs whilst maintaining the important heritage assets within the existing structure.

The new building offers us the ability to grow in line with our business plan and to enhance the quality of our workplace environment. We’re just hopeful that doesn’t mean too many lunches in the pub!
