Our Story

FINC Architects opened its doors in April 2013 with the aspiration of providing quality architecture that exceeds the expectations of our clients.  Formed by Architect, Steven Fisher, the practise was initially setup on a kitchen worktop before moving to a garden office and eventually to our design studio in Chelmsford, FINC has expanded into a medium sized, award-winning practice with a reputation for innovation, reliability and quality.

FINC operate as a Private Limited Company and are in line with the ARB code and RIBA code of conduct. FINC holds professional indemnity insurance to the value of £5m for every claim with Anchorman Insurance Consultants LTD. There are two teams in the company – The Design Team focus on the planning stage of projects and the Technical Team focus on the construction stage throughout multiple sectors of the industry. Majority of the work does crossover but each job for each team will be tendered individually and given their own project job numbers. As part of our continued growth for 2022, we have taken on a Commercial and Retail Design director to support our existing and future projects for planning stages.

Alongside our additional staff members and internal promotions, we have purchased the office building next door to our current premises in the heart of Chelmsford, Essex – to increase our workspace footprint to create a vibrant “home from home” for our valued members of staff. Our company has now restricted itself into sector specific teams and we have hired highly skilled and experienced members of staff to enable us to elevate our already professional service for each and every project we work on. We don’t just hire anyone at FINC to cope with the workloads, we hire ambitious people who want to offer more to the company and the industry by providing a quality service across all project stages.
