Melbourne Tattoo Academy
A perforated floral façade allows views through the building and creates a decorative wrap to the workings beyond.
This design project, to create a landmark building in Melbourne to house a tattoo academy was completed in 2016 by FINC. The project includes internal meeting/teaching spaces, café, a shop, exhibition and auditoria, all wrapped in the bespoke cladding, which acts as the ‘skin’ of the building.
Through the detailed use of lighting, a multi-coloured tattoo like building can emerge from the night on this prominent corner.
